Early in May we turned the sprinklers on but Mother Nature had different plans and decided to freeze that night. It made for some fun photos though! I love my lens also. I won a contest last year (see post here) and was able to buy the AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D Lens! I love it!

Weekly Photos
The Weekly Photos really fell by the way side didn't they ....??? So, I'm just going to post some pictures I took this month on a snowmobile trip we went on. I hope you enjoy them. I really think that I'm getting a little better at taking pictures. I also Color Calibrated my monitor using the Datacolor Spyder4Express S4X100 and WHOA you wouldn't believe the difference. Maybe that's why I think my photos are better. They are actually the true color.
If you would like to see the full orientation of the two square pictures you can view them at my Facebook Page.
I also made a Color Bar from one of the photos just for fun! You can get the Action at Coffee Shop's Blog.

This was taken August 1, 2010. I'm still working on a slideshow for the farm last year and all it's events.
update: This photo was picked in Cabin Fever's June 2011 photography contest as the winner. How exciting!!

Week 16 - Fire
I like taking pictures of fire! :-) I'm not a pyro, but like to take the pictures. This picture was at 9:30 pm. I thought my camera did a pretty good job. Obviously if I was a pro I could have probably known the better settings to use ... but none the less ... I thought this picture was fun!

Week 7 - Bald Eagle
Ok, I can't take credit for taking this picture but I did edit it a few different ways. Gary saw this bald eagle one night (January 14, 2011) and started snapping pictures. I wish the composition was a little different but at the same time I like how the Eagle is framed by the trees and I felt if I cropped too much it took away from that.
